Como Park Conservatory Wedding and Engagement Photography

Como Park Conservatory wedding photography guidelines are enforced! I am lucky to have had the opportunity to photograph a couple of weddings at the beautiful Marjorie McNeely Conservatory since moving here but while doing so learned they are pretty strict with their photography policy.

When I moved to the Twin Cities from Chicago in 2018 and started to learn more about the area I found out that there are strict photo policies in most of the parks. Minneapolis requires a photo permit for commercial photography in their parks and when I had the chance to visit St Paul’s Como Conservatory I saw that they require a photo permit as well.

When coordinating any photo shoot with clients I let them know these costs so they are prepared the day of our shoot. It’s my professional responsibility so there are no surprises the day of their wedding or engagement portrait session.

I love photographing couples here, there are so many options with the gorgeous organic natural settings. Some of my favorite places are in the North Garden, Sunken Garden, Palm Dome, Fern Room, and of course the Japanese Gardens. There is also the exterior options of the modern building of the stunning Como Park Conservatory, including near the Frog Pond, and finally the famous Marjorie McNeely Conservatory as seen below.
